Read the post regarding "Kerry's Rose Garden Victory." Has Kerry finally found the strategy that will force the press to begin asking the president the tough questions on Iraq? The tone of the questions during the press conference suggests so. There's only so many "non-answer" answers that the president can give before he's exposed as ignorant (I hope).

The other thing that kills me? That "W" would point to the right track/wrong track polls in Iraq and the U.S. and state that because a higher percentage of Iraqis than Americans think that their country is on the right track, we must be doing something right in Iraq. As John Stewart said in yesterday's "Daily Show": "Uhh, Mr. President? That doesn't help you."

Revisiting my MLB picks (from February):

MLB Picks:
AL West: Anaheim Angels
AL Central: Kansas City Royals
AL East: NY Yankees
Wildcard: Boston Red Sox
NL West: SF Giants
NL Central: Chicago Cubs
NL East: Phillies
NL Wildcard: Houston Astros

Yes, I was smoking crack that day. Yankees and Red Sox were the only accurate calls. Anaheim might pull it out, but the As look good. Same with the NL Wildcard, Houston is in a tight race with SF, Chicago, and Florida for that final spot.
I still feel that if the Cubs make the Wildcard spot, that they will be pretty dangerous in the playoffs. Zambrano, Prior, Wood and Maddux cannot be underestimated. They will also have Clement and Rusch pitching long relief which helps in the bullpen. Hawkins hasn't convinced me, but the few games I've seen him close on WGN, he's pitched well. He struck out the side in the 9th this past Saturday. Go Cubbies!

The lyrics to the Postal Service's new album "Give Up" are brilliant. Listen to "Such Great Heights." I think the song perfectly captures what it means to be in love. Wistfulness, longing, confidence, harmony. It kills me that the introduction was used to promo an MTV show. Audio post to come.
